Life is a journey,
Not a destination,
There are no mistakes,
Just chances we’ve taken
Lay down your regrets cause all we have is now
Lesson for the Day: Play, Listen, Hear…Repeat if necessary
When I fumble and stumble from one portion of my life to the next, I remember this song. Maybe I only need to listen to it once, maybe I need to repeat it a few more times. I am moving through doors again, doors opening, doors closing as I finish up my training and embark on creating a new life. Again, I stand on the edge looking down and looking back.
Looking back, I can see how far I have come over the past year with so much help and support. I pushed myself, stretched myself personally and professionally, and stepped out of my comfort zone A LOT!
Looking down and ahead, I know I am on the verge of something. I feel the tingles of an ignition of something. It feels like I have been trying to hot-wire the car to get me to where I need to go. Constantly taking the 2 wires, present and future, trying to create a spark to ignite a new life. I feel like I have been struggling to make that connection.
I woke up this morning as I sat down to write and I hear Lyn, my coach and friend, quietly say [in my head]: Use your key.
Work hard, yes, but stop the struggle to “get ahead of the game.” Life is the game and it needs to played out in its own time, in its own way.
