Magic

June 21, 2013 / by Elif Ekin / 2 Comments

SSSSHHH~come here for a second! I have to tell you something that I just discovered!

…..um…

magic

Well….I have Super-Powers.

….and, you know what-So do you! Just thought I would let you know, but maybe you are already waaay ahead me on the magic making stuff.

Last year when I was in Turkey, I read Rhonda Byrne’s book, Magic which took you through a 28 day journey of living a more grateful life. One of the lessons was to sprinkle “magic” on your anything you are trying to attract utilizing the Law of Attraction. Ok, as much as I can embrace my Woo-Woo side, taking my fingers and sprinkling imaginary “somethings” was a bit much, so I bought a pretty salt shaker. For me, the tangibility of the salt shaker was more real as much as one can be when you are sprinkling imaginary magic dust from a seemingly empty salt shaker.

The first time I tried out my Magic powers was just before flying back. My suitcases were INSANELY heavy. Really, how could it hurt anything if I sprinkled some “magic” on my suitcases to make them seem lighter, right? I remember thinking in my head, “maybe the lady who checks me in will take pity on me traveling alone with a little girl and just look the other way, not notice how much these suitcases weigh.”

Imagine my surprise when my suitcases weighed 32 kilos {21 kilos is the limit} and the Check-in Lady motioned for me to get closer and said, “I am just going to look the other way and let these pass through. It looks like you have your hands full with that little girl. [wink, wink]”

I stood there shocked stupid and extremely grateful.

Of course, real world sets in and the salt shaker is put aside and collects dust. It must have been a fluke, things like this don’t really work…or do they? I decided to dust it off and give it a little love the other day. I carried it around with me all over the house. Whenever I thought of something I needed or wanted to come into my life, I made a proclamation and shook the shaker right over my head!! Imagine my surprise this week as I have seen almost everything fall into my path just when I needed, just how I asked for it!

My salt shaker may look empty to the untrained eye, but it is actually filled to the brim with an endless supply of possibilities! If you want a salt shaker filled with magic, let me know and I will find a cool one to send to you!! Let’s all have fun being powerful magical beings!!
