All throughout the month of September, we have taken time to look back on our story, the past and the present. Let’s Future Pace that a bit, shall we?
In review, we took a bird’s eye view of our past to see how we mapped our way to the present. Integrating the past with the present, it is time to take those elements and weave them into our future. Our future is really a set of images in our mind that creates full picture of what we would like to see transpire. I have been introduced to 3 methods over the past few months that I cam currently working with. Take a look, find one that resonates with you, and run with it!
1. Vision Statement: One of the first homework assignments I had to do for Asenath was to create a Vision Statement of what I saw 1 year out in my business: Everything-how many clients, how many hours, how much money, what my customers looked like, where I was personally/professionally. Dream it, Feel it, Live it, BE IT!
2.QNLP Future Pacing: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic Processes blend together with 4 basic strategies: Distinctions, Memorizing Information, Motivating yourself, and Making decisions. Using our sense, create a clear intention and make distinctions for what you want. In the application of these set distinctions, Memorize key words or images to create your future “picture.” Motivate yourself by seeing the tasks already completed. Then, Imagine that the decisions are already made and everything aligns with the intentions set forth in the beginning. It becomes one congruent cycle of thoughts.
3. Life Vision: I was introduced to Ann Webb’s LifeVision concept just this past weekend. Life Vision seems to synthesize the previous 2 methods together with a few added components. Ideal Life Vision is being crystal clear with your goals which encompass 5 themes: Spiritual, Relationships, Health and Physical, Professional and Financial, & Personal Development. Take these themes, be a clear and use as many details as possible, and write it down. After it is written, record yourself reading it with Baroque Music in the background. Finally, listen to it every day. The music sets your brain at an Alpha level to absorb the information and cement it into your subconscious. I just did it yesterday, wrote and recorded it, and it was just over 3 minutes long. I only did a LifeVision statement for the next few months. Taking it a few months at a time seemed more manageable than projecting a year out.
These three methods in their own way have helped me to frame my future with clearer intentions and working toward them has been easier. Try them out and let me know how it’s working for you. I’m curious to see how you have incorporated these processes into your life and attracting what you want. So, keep me in the loop, ok?
