There are days that I just need some silence..to disconnect from the world and reconnect with me. Life is gearing up for a big shift and I have been cocooning the last few days getting ready. I can feel the buzz around my baklava business and the anticipation of my new work space, affectionately called The Studio.
I can feel the momentum building and I know I am going to have to restructure my time away from my safe cocoon into The Studio which will incorporate both businesses (baklava and coaching). My comfort zone is beginning to stretch which is a good, but scary thing. This is why it is important for me to take the time to be quiet so that I am checking in with what I need. It’s too easy for me to get caught up and overwhelmed. When this happens, I begin to take shallow breaths, over think and stress myself out with inconsequential things.
I read a poem once that says Silence is like a cup of tea. The stillness warms you from the inside our creating comfort and peace in the unknown. It nourishes your dreams as you silently participate in their actualization. It grounds you into your purpose, balancing your footing so you can step forward from a place of strength. My cup of afternoon tea is my reminder to take time to be still and silent. In order to move forward toward what we want to accomplish, we need to be aware of when we need to stop and reconnect.
Today, I am cocooning and gathering my wings around me because soon there will come a time when I have to lift off and trust myself.
