We all have those days, those moments, that charge us up and we have to do something..RIGHT NOW! I hear ya..the last few days have been …just..so..tiring..with multiple boulders landing in my path, one at a time, testing me to see how I will react.
It is in these moments, that you need to take a step back, outside of yourself and embrace the pause. Breathe. Allow that fire to ground before you get swept away in the blaze.
If you are in a heated arguement with someone, play the pause card..put a pin in the conversation to revist later. One thing my coach always told me: When Emotions are High, Intellect is Low. It is not weakness to put something on hold until you are better equipped to deal with it.
Sometimes, I need to feel something tangible to ground myself..go grab an extra button, put a key chain on it and you have an instant pause button to hold, rub, and remind yourself to calm down and breathe.
It will pass. I promise.
When you slow down, you are aware of what is happening within the space between moments. It is in there that you see the lesson for the obstacles in your path. There is always a reason. We get in our own way and focus on what is lost rather than what did that open space up for. What you focus on is what you will receive because that is all you see.
So, press the pause button, sit, be still, and look, really look at what is being shown to you. You are either being asked to release something, change course, or open up to receive. This thing happened to you to wake you up because there is something important for you to see. Embrace the pause and look beyond what is right now to what could be if you allow yourself to ground and move forward in your own way, on your own terms.
