Failure is only a negative situation if we fail to see the lesson and opportunity. It is symptom of something greater, a wake-up call that the life we are living is not in alignment with our needs. Failure makes it’s appearance in our life when we don’t listen to the whispers all around us, which would lead us to live a more authentic life.
I am no stranger to failure, but I am learning to listen now. Over the past few years on my new journey to “find myself,” life comes and whacks me in the head Dude! Pay attention you missed that turn because you allowed yourself to get distracted! Now, instead of creating a pity party, I celebrate, readjust my internal GPS system toward my goals.
Gratitude and an openness to the unknown has allowed me to embrace that roadblock and created new opportunities. I had an interesting weekend with lots of lesson and lots of gifts.
I received a text from Lyn’s secretary presenting me with an opportunity to go to a workshop. I was aware of the workshop, but I knew I would not be able to afford going. What I learned was that I was being sponsored by SoulSalt to go, for free. Not knowing how I was going to work out going to the 2 day workshop and take care of Mina, I let go and said YES! I embraced the unknown and jumped in. Not only did I connect with many people, Alex offered to take care of Mina so I could take advantage of this opportunity.Things worked out when I released control.
An opportunity appeared just as life had just sent another whack to my life.
It came after I took the time for myself Thursday night to be quiet and listen. I finished reading Dan Brown’s book, The Lost Symbols, put the book down, and reached for my Magic Salt shaker. I recently changed my Magic salt shaker so I could add some healing crystals inside and not worry that the shaker’s top would fall off. That night, I closed my eyes to look inside and listen. My Message: Turn the shaker over and look at the bottom and you will understand.
Easy enough..what’s the big deal? Imagine my surprise when I saw the number 33 I had just read so much about in Dan Brown’s book below an anchor.
My interpretation: Anchor yourself in Magic. We are all so much more powerful that we give ourselves credit for. What you put out there, you receive back. When I am strong in who I am and my beliefs, life flows in the direction that I need to go more fluidly. When I come from that strength and allow myself to be who I am, I am living authentically. That is the magic: to live authentically. I have seen good Karma come back because I live from the heart. I have also been witness to how words can impact another’s life. I remember, in the heat of the moment, expressing a wish {or maybe it was a a curse} toward someone and seeing it come to pass. There is no satisfaction that comes from seeing someone else in pain, even if it something you had inadvertently put forth in the world.
The Anchor symbol was dominant in this weekends workshop. Anchoring yourself in who you are can be a place which you can call up when you feel off balance and need a space to regain your clarity.
Taking the time to check in with myself Thursday night, demonstrated to me that I am listening and following my heart, that it is leading me forward. I don’t fear failure anymore. I take it in stride and work through it. There is always a way and always someone there to help you fly even if you haven’t grown your wings yet. Life is about falling into the unknown and allowing it to life you to a new place. Holding back from trying, pulls fear into your life and becomes paralyzing. Allow the unknown to come in and help, because it will come in a way you could never have expected and better than you could have imagine.
Let Life Lift you when you feel like you can’t lift yourself
Trust the Process and let go..
