As we all shelter in place as the world changes around us, we realize all that we can’t control and what we don’t know.
We don’t know where the money will come from with work closed.
We don’t know how to protect our children because they are still being shuttled between houses.
We don’t have the answers for our children let alone ourselves when faced with the questions: When will this be over so I can see my friends?
What I do know is that there is an opportunity for all of us here to lean in and learn new things or revist some old teachings.
Entrepreneurs are leaning in and thinking outside of the box to develop new ways to create products and courses to bring business on line.
Universities are now offering free classes to help us in our new way of living. When have we been able to attend Harvard, Yale, or any of the other Ivy League schools from our couch in our bathrobe? There have been excuses you have used before about going back to school because of work, kids, and lack of time.
We are now housebound with lots of time and no work. So, how are you going to lean in? Will you lean into netflix for the next few weeks or can you lean into learning something new, maybe on your own, maybe as a family.
Great things happen with learning. As everyone has been saying, Shakespeare wrote King Lear during the plague in isolation.
