Who knew that when we got divorced, we would have to implement an emergency plan? I certainly didn’t!
I am very lucky that both me and my Ex are in alignment with handling emergencies. We keep a low profile, keep Mina in the house, and limit our outings.
I think flexibility is the key when juggling time-share.
Here are some questions to think about:
What is best for the kid right now?
Does moving the child(ten) back and forth every couple of days benefit their well-being?
How will you structure the days/weeks/months if both cannot work or if there is no school?
What compromises can you make for the benefit of the children?
This is not a tug of war for time with the kids. It’s about keeping everyone, yourself included, healthy.
